The Bux.to site falls into the broad category of the “Get Paid To” (GPT) site. More specifically it is a Paid To Click (PTC) program. Basically the site recruits advertisers to run ads on their site and pays it’s members to view them. Here’s a snip from the Bux.to homepage:
At Bux.to, you get paid to click on ads and visit websites. The process is easy! You simply click a link and view a website for 30 seconds to earn money. You can earn even more by referring friends. You’ll get paid $0.01 for each website you personally view and $0.01 for each website your referrals view. Payment requests can be made every day and are processed through AlertPay. The minimum payout is $10.00.
So $0.01 per click doesn’t sound like much right? That’s where the referral concept comes in. There’s an Earnings Example on the Bux.to site that looks like this:
» You click 10 ads per day = $0.10
» 20 referrals click 10 ads per day = $2.00
» Your daily earnings = $2.10
» Your weekly earnings = $14.70
» Your monthly earnings = $63.00
So you click your 10 ads a day and get 20 other people to do the same and your monthly take is $63. Not life changing, but might pay the cable or cell phone bill. Pretty good for a few minutes surfing webpages which you might be doing anyway. Of course, now you’re asking “where the heck am I going to get 20 other people to do this with me??” Ahh, therein lies the problem with any referral program. It’s not easy to find those 20 people. Bux.to figured that out to and came up with one solution. They have thousands of members who sign up to the site unreferred and they will let you “buy” those members and place them in your downline. So, instead of hitting up your friends and family or posting all over the internet you can drop a few bucks and have an instant downline clicking and earning you money each month. They have referral packages in lots of 15, 35, 100 and 500.
Ok, does this work for making real money?
Sounds like a great idea right? Well clicking a few ads for free money is one thing, investing my money into it is quite another. For that I had to do some research. I started scouring forums for unbiased reviews and opinions of the site. I found a few that said it was a scam, but a ton more that said it was legit and was paying it’s members (albeit slowly). I decided the upside was worth a bit of risk and I invested in the Premium upgrade and 100 referral member package. It cost me $139 and upped my click pay rate to $0.0125 for both my clicks and my referrals.
I didn’t know the people in my downline and frankly I didn’t know how active they would be. Having 100 referrals is nice but completely worthless if they don’t click ads everyday. I was pleasantly surprised when I made back my initial investment in less than a month. I have since invested in another 100 referrals ($98). As of the time of this article my account balance sits at $842.87. It is currently going up by about $9.26 per day. I’m pretty happy with the return on my $237 investment.
Of course you don’t even have to put that kind of money into it to begin with. You could start with a 15 referral package for $16.98 or 35 for $34.95. And if you have a blog or website you could recruit members directly from there as well.
Bux.to definitely isn’t a get rich quick scheme and probably will never replace your full time job. But it is nice site to add to your online money making portfolio. Use it to pay some bills or make extra money for that vacation you’ve been saving for!
